As volunteers continue to put the finishing touches on Habitat for Humanity’s most recent build in Chatham, the organization is already looking ahead to next year.
Volunteer and past-president Melanie Austin says they’ll be helping a family in Wallaceburg.
“We have the next family already picked, so once we turn this house over to Cassadi, which will be in a few days hopefully, then we’ll take a little bit of a break and we’ll start on the next house.”
Austin says the design phase for the 2020 build is already underway.
“The plans are always designed to meet that family’s needs, so if they have special needs it will be designed to meet their needs.”
Austin says at this point they don’t have a timeline in place, and are still working on getting a builder on board.
