Parents Lee Chrysler and Nichole Spall and their children Lucas and Kylie will be busy this summer working on their new home.

Chrysler says they’re excited to have a home of their own.

“I can’t even imagine that we are getting a house, our own house, a property to call our own,” Chrysler says. “Our son could more than likely be at home with us for the rest of his life, so he has a permanent spot which is great for him.”

Spall says being chosen for the Habitat home, which comes with a geared-to-income mortgage, is a blessing.

“Growing up we never owned a house, and this is the first in my family,” she says. “I never could paint my own walls or anything, so I’m excited to do that for my kids.”

Habitat for Humanity will hold a ground-breaking ceremony in April, with an expected completion date later in the summer.
