Keep safety top of mind when the kids are out trick or treating this evening. 
Children should wear bright clothing, and carry a flashlight or glow sticks to make sure that they are easily seen.
Make sure to walk and not run, and to plan a route in neighbourhoods that you’re familiar with.
For parents, set a time frame with your children so you know when to expect them home.
Have younger children go with older siblings or family members. For homeowners, make sure porches and entryways are free of tripping hazards, and turn on your porch light to help kids see while outside at night.
For drivers, slow down and watch for children. Drive like you’re going through a school zone as a child can run out in front of you at any time.
