Harry Kalp

A resident of Chatham, Harry William Kalp, died at his residence on Saturday October 25, 2014. He was born 83 years ago on July 1, 1931, son of the late Albert & Margaret (Clarke) Kalp. Beloved husband of the late Ruby (Goddard) Kalharry kelpp. (2010). Loving father of Marg & Joe Rheault, Deb & Rick Hottot, Barb & Bruce Burgess, Patsy & Rolland Lachance, Herman & Glenda Kalp, Dan & Karen Kalp, and the late Lawrence Kalp. (2005) Proud grandfather and great grandfather to many. He was predeceased by one great grandson, Riley Thomas James Hottot in 2001. Dear brother of Marion Schmidt of Stratford, Dorothy & Trevar Broderick of Trenton, and brother-in-law of Della Kalp of Chatham. Harry was predeceased by his brothers Lorne, Ernie, and Herman Kalp, and sisters Violet Bennett and Agnes Schram. He dedicated his life to his family, working for many years driving truck for Western Freight Lines. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Wednesday October 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow, with a family interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
