It was a packed house at the Wallaceburg Legion for MPP Monte McNaughton’s annual New Year’s Levee on Saturday.
The Minister of Labour, Training, and Skills Development says it’s a great chance to meet with his constituents face to face and give residents a forum to air any comments and concerns about the direction the province is heading.
Issues like the revitalization of Wallaceburg’s hospital and job creation are top of mind for area residents.
“2019 was a great year as we announced a planning grant to begin revitalizing that hospital, a lot of community support and I’m going to continue championing the local hospital,” McNaughton says.
“But we also heard a lot about creating jobs locally, and my priority in 2020 is really to focus on getting more young people into the skilled trades and there’s a lot of support across the community for that.”
McNaughton met with constituents in Forest and Strathroy on Saturday as well.
