Health Unit Sounds Alarm On Unlicensed Tattoo Parlour

Health officials are warning the public about an unlicensed tattoo parlour in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent Public Health has issued an alert about Willows Tattoo and Piercing at 805 Grand Avenue West, after identifying inadequate equipment disinfection practices at the uninspected and unlicensed tattoo and piercing provider.

Health officials warn that insufficient infection control measures when getting a tattoo or piercing increase the risk of transmitting blood-borne infections, such as HIV or Hepatitis, as well as skin infections.

Anyone who was provided services at this location between October 1, 2025 and March 23, 2026, is encouraged to contact their doctor, arrange a clinical assessment, or visit a walk-in clinic for evaluation.
