Help For Local Agri-Businesses

Lambton-Kent-Middlesex farmers will share in almost $1.5-million in government funding to help update their businesses.

The announcement came this week that 57 local farmers were awarded the cash as part of a $10.8 million commitment province-wide.

Meantime, in the neighbouring riding of Chatham-Kent-Leamington, officials say 22 agri-businesses will benefit from funding through the Canadian Agriculture Partnership.

The initiatives will improve food traceability, animal handling, and biosecurity measures.
