The municipality is joining forces with a national group to take on a new homelessness initiative.
Built for Zero Canada is a new effort from the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness.
The goal is for what’s called Functional Zero Homeless, which means three or fewer people experiencing chronic homelessness over three months.
Chatham-Kent, who got involved in the previous campaign called 20,000 Homes, will join into this new push.
Chatham-Kent will join more than 20 other cities across the province in data collection and sharing and implementation strategies.
