High-Speed Internet Survey Launched

internetThe Municipality is working on bringing high-speed internet to rural communities in Chatham-Kent, and they’re seeking your input.

Through the Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology initiative – or “SWIFT”, funds are available to invest in broadband infrastructure in southwestern Ontario.

Matthew Payne, Manager of Technology Services at the Municipality, says Chatham-Kent has some unique internet challenges to work on.

“In Chatham-Kent, we have some very urban and rural areas. We have quite a few different challenges – rural areas have low connectivity rates and in urban areas, although they can get high-speed internet, there are still some challenges as well”, Payne says.

You can share your internet concerns with SWIFT on their website at swiftnetwork.ca/survey.
