A tragic end to a story we first told you about last week.
A 66-year-old Morpeth woman was struck during a hit-and-run on Main Street in Ridgetown on October 19th.
She was initially taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance before being airlifted to hospital in Windsor with life-threatening injuries.
Chatham-Kent Police now say the woman succumbed to those injuries two days later.
The 38-year-old driver charged in the crash is expected to be back in court December 2nd.
Meantime, reports say a candlelight vigil is planned for the victim at the scene of the crash tomorrow night.
