Home Sweet Home Campaign Supporting Families in Need

A local home improvement chain is once again looking to help families.

The third annual RONA Foundation’s Home Sweet Home campaign is underway, revitalizing living environments for Canadians in need.

Four organizations in Southwestern Ontario will be supported, provide help to victims of domestic violence, low-income families, and people with disabilities or mental health issues. Now through October 12, donations will be collected at RONA stores in Chatham and Wallaceburg, supporting Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent.

RONA stores in Leamington, Windsor, and Sarnia are also taking part in the campaign, supporting the Erie Shores Health Foundation, Charity House and Brentwood Recovery Home, and Habitat for Humanity Sarnia-Lambton.

“Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of the communities around us, and that’s what drives our daily activities at the RONA Foundation,” said Josée Lafitte, Director of the RONA Foundation, in a news release. “What I love most about our Home Sweet Home campaign is that its impact is significant at a local level.”

Last year, RONA stores in Chatham and Wallaceburg raised a collective $1542 to support the Chatham-Kent Women’s Centre.
