Remembrance Day Ceremonies take place across CK today.
No matter where you find yourself today, there’s an opportunity to pay your respects.
In Wallaceburg the day begins at the high school at 9:30, after will be a parade to the cenotaph for a short ceremony at 11am. Rides are available. After there will be a light lunch available at the Legion.
In Dresden there’s the service that begins at 11:00 am at the Legion before heading to the cenotaph.
Thamesville’s event starts at the Legion at 10:30 with the march to the cenotaph at 10:45 for the service and then march to the church for another brief service with a luncheon to follow at the legion.
Chatham has two ceremonies today, one at the John D Bradley Centre at 9:30 and another at the cenotaph on King Street West at 11am.
In Merlin, a procession makes its way from the Legion Branch 465 at 10am to the cenotaph at Kinsman Park for a wreath laying service. Following that, the march heads to the community hall for a service, then back to the Legion.
Ridgetown residents can pay their respects with a march starting at the Legion Branch 243 at 9:30 to Mount Zion Presbyterian Church for a service. Following that, a service will be held at the cenotaph.
In Tilbury, everything gets underway at 10:30am with a procession from the Legion Branch 206 to the cenotaph on Canal Street East for a service.
Erieau’s ceremony takes place starting at 1:45 this afternoon with a procession from Molly and OJ’s to the Veterans Memorial Garden, followed by a wreath laying ceremony.
