Honouring Veterans With Armoury Lights Show

The Chatham Armoury will be lit up this week to honour the men and women who’ve served our country.

A special Armoury in Lights display takes place Wednesday evening with photos projected onto the building from 6 until 9.

A special tribute will take place at 7 o’clock, including a smudging ceremony to honour Indigenous veterans led by Dr. Judy Peters, member of Walpole First Nation of the Odawa Tribe who served 18 years as a medic in the US Air Force.

While this is a free, walk-in event, pre-registration is encouraged – CLICK HERE to register. Because it is an outdoor event, organizers say masks and vaccination certificates are not required.

Donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Chatham Poppy Fund can be made when ordering tickets.
