Horwath says everyone has voiced their concerns about the cuts to the health care system and something needs to be done.
“(We) cannot allow the hospital’s to continue to erode, we can’t allow our health care system to erode,” says Horwath. “People expect their government to provide the basics, the fundamental’s and one of the most basic is our health care system.”
The Chatham-Kent Health alliance has not seen an increase in funding over the past four years. The Sydenham Hospital board will meet tomorrow to talk with their stakeholders to further discuss the situation.
