A charitable foundation from Wardsville has made a significant donation to support end-of-life care in Chatham-Kent.

The James A. Beattie Foundation has donated $50,000 to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, which will go towards needed operational funding for the hospice.

“The Beattie Foundation, in their quiet and unassuming way, continues to make a big impact in Chatham-Kent,” said CK Hospice Foundation Executive Director Jodi Maroney. “We are very grateful for their care and compassion towards local families as they say goodbye to their loved one[s].”

To date, the Beattie Foundation has donated over $130,000 to support local families who access care at Chatham-Kent Hospice.

The hospice foundation needs to raise $157,000 each month to support the operating needs of the hospice.
