How does CK Measure Up?

A recent study shows Chatham-Kent’s population may be on the rise.

A recent BMA survey, comparing Chatham-Kent to other municipalities of the same size, shows that while CK has seen a 2% decline in population over the past five years, the population is likely to have increased over the past 12 months.

As well, the average home pays less property tax than similarly-sized municipalities, but the average household income is much lower compared to other areas.

Water and wastewater charges are lower than other municipalities, and Chatham-Kent’s debt continues to decline.
