Officials with Chatham-Kent’s Local Immigration Partnership are looking for new members for its Immigrant Advisory Group.

The Advisory Group acts as a resource for the L-I-P Council and partnered projects to enhance CK’s welcome-ability. The group is responsible for providing input to CK LIP Council on what immigrants are experiencing in the community while also sharing ideas on improving settlement outcomes.

“Immigration itself is diverse,” added Project Coordinator Peter Sulman, “So we are looking to build an Immigrant Advisory Group consisting of many different experiences and perspectives. Everyone’s contributions are impactful.”

Members must be 18 or older and be current residents of Chatham-Kent, and will need to commit to a two-year term and in-person meetings every three months.

Applications are being accepted on Let’s Talk Chatham-Kent and will be open until February 1st, 2023.
