Impaired driving charges have been laid following a traffic stop in Chatham. 
Chatham-Kent Police spotted a man talking on his cellphone while driving on King Street West on Saturday evening.
However, upon speaking to the driver, the officer began to suspect the man was under the influence of alcohol.
The suspect was arrested, taken to police headquarters for further testing, and released with a future court date.
