Police snagged a pair of suspected drunk drivers in Chatham over the weekend.
Saturday afternoon, officers pulled over a vehicle – the 42-year-old driver was taken to police headquarters after failing a road-side screening test. Authorities say the man had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
Meantime, shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, a 34-year-old man was stopped at a RIDE check point and failed the road-side test.
Both of the accused were released into the custody of a sober friend and will be back in court to answer to a judge down the road.
