Impaired driving charges have been laid against a Walpole Island man found passed out behind the wheel.
Following a report from a concerned citizen, officers with the Walpole Island Police Service found an unconscious man in the driver’s seat of running vehicle at the Gen 7 gas station on Snye River Road shortly after 6 o’clock Wednesday morning.
The 33-year-old was taken into custody and has since been charged with impaired operation of a vehicle, refusal to comply with a blood demand, and drug possession.
The accused was also issued a 90 day license suspension and had his vehicle impounded.
