Impaired, Fail to Remain Charges Laid Against Chatham Woman

Charges have been laid against a Chatham woman following a crash.

Police got a call from a driver Thursday evening, saying she’d been side-swiped by another vehicle on Tweedsmuir near Queen Street.

However, as it turns out police say the woman actually hit a parking meter around King and William.

The 26-year-old has been charged with impaired driving as well as failing to remain at the scene of a crash. She was released with a date in court later this month.
