Pat Robbins Clarke is the organizer of the walk in support of International Women’s Day.

“We have a lot of young women coming into the world,” Robbins Clarke says. “They need to know that there’s positivity out there.”

Walkers are encouraged to wear purple, meet at the Fifth Street Bridge in Chatham at 5:15 and go for a stroll.

Another International Women’s Day event is also being held at the Chatham Cultural Centre starting at 11:30, featuring the stories of several women from Canadian history.
