Combining the country with the city, that seems to be the theme for the International Plowing Match when it comes to Chatham Kent in 2018.

The Co-Chairs for the Plowing Match committee were named this past week at the John D Bradley Center.  Councillors Darrin Canniff and Leon LeClair will head things up.

Ward 4 Councillor Leclair says he’s an ag guy while Councillor Canniff is the urban guy.

“I’m truly, truly excited, again, because because Darrin with his past experience and being urban, it’s going to be a great filter,” says Leclair. “We’re going to filter out each others ideas and change things, I’m truly excited.

The Plowing Match is set for 2018 in Chatham Kent and usually attracts over 100,000 visitors to the host community.
