After countless hours of planning, the time for the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo is now.
The five-day event opens this morning on land near Pain Court.
Gates open at 8:30, followed by the parade and opening ceremonies at 10:30.
Politicians of all stripes, including Ontario Premier Doug Ford, are expected to make an appearance today.
It’s thought that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will also stop by sometime this week, although mum’s the word to this point for security reasons.
Organizers are expecting at least 80,000 people to attend the event that runs through Saturday.
