Dresden Gym Owner, Mother Of 7, Vying For Health and Fitness Magazine Cover

A Dresden gym owner and mother of seven is in hot pursuit of the cover of Health and Fitness Women’s Magazine.
Joanne (Jo) Grineage, the owner and operator of Dresden’s “Let’s Get Fit”, is currently in first place of an online contest, with a chance to grace the cover of the popular magazine. The winner also receives $20,000 – a cash prize that is greatly needed for any gym owner through the pandemic.
“This is an amazing opportunity and I really feel like I can represent Chatham Kent and our small town gym in a very big way,” says Grineage.
As the pandemic has ravaged small businesses and local business owners, Grineage has been blown away by the support of the Dresden community, and has continued to offer six FREE live classes per week online, trying to give back to her devoted clientele and community.
“With the effects of COVID and because of the closure of my gym over this last year, I want to highlight how Dresden has come together,” she says. “The $20,000 prize would help me get my feet back under me after this devastating 16 months!”
Grineage is humbled by the support that currently has her in first place for the online vote and recognizes the magnitude of the opportunity. She encourages local residents to continue the support through the finish line.
“It is not every day that a a single African Canadian mom with seven children has the opportunity to be on the cover of a magazine. I feel very blessed to have even been chosen to compete.”
