The St Clair Catholic District School Board has selected its next Director of Education.
Deb Crawford, who’s held the post since 2018, is retiring at the end of the summer.
Scott Johnson will be filling the role, effective October 1st. Johnson currently serves as the board’s Superintendent of Education, and has been working in education since 1992.
At the provincial level, he’s served as a Mentor and Adjudicator with the Ontario Catholic Supervisory Officers’ Association’s SOQP (Supervisory Officers Qualifications Program). He is a former board member of the Sarnia Lambton Workforce Development Board, and a committee member of the Sarnia Lambton Apprenticeship Network.
“Throughout his career, Scott has sought to help young people to identify their God-given gifts and to strive to be their best,” says board chair John Van Heck. “As a result of his tremendous breadth of experience and his proven leadership at St. Clair Catholic, Scott is well-positioned to lead the Board into the future.”
