Chatham-Kent Police will be keeping a close eye on the roads this weekend.
Today marks the start of Operation Impact, a national campaign to increase safety on Canadian roads.
Since January, there have been 11 deaths and 19 serious injuries on Chatham-Kent roads.
Officers will be targeting four main behaviours they say put drivers, passengers, and other road users most at risk: belt use, along with impaired, aggressive and distracted driving.
The campaign runs through Thanksgiving Monday.
