It may only be mid-October, but a local organization is getting ready for the holidays.
The Chatham Goodfellows are laying the groundwork for their 69th annual No Child Without a Christmas campaign, announcing some key dates.
Families who have received support in past years can begin submitting online applications on Wednesday, November 1st. First-time applications must apply by phone and can begin calling on Monday, November 6th. The deadline for both phone and online submissions is December 1st.
The annual Porchlight Campaign that sees volunteers going door-to-door collecting donations will be held December 4th. Street Sales will be held December 15th and 16th.
Toy baskets will be delivered on December 19th, with food packages going out the following day.
In 2022, more than 1,600 families and 1,300 children received food and toys over the holidays thanks to the generosity of local residents and the work of Goodfellows volunteers.
