For a Chatham-Kent police officer the upcoming Kidney Walk is an intensely personal event.
Lynette Hodder donated a kidney to her sister, who was suffering from polycystic kidney disease in 2004.
“Both my brother and sister were diagnosed with this disease we went through many ups and downs, it was definitely a roller coaster ride,” says Hodder. “They unfortunately lost their struggle. I’m just trying to get that awareness out there and hoping for better treatments and possibly a cure.”
The Kidney Walk takes place Saturday, September 10th.
