No injuries have been reported following a fire in Chatham.
Crews responded to a multi-unit dwelling on Jeffrey Street shortly before 2 o’clock Friday afternoon and found smoke and flames coming from the upper unit.
The fire, which originated in the kitchen, was quickly doused, and fire fighters remained on scene to ventilate the building as well as do salvage and overhaul operations.
Damage has been pegged at $50,000 and the cause listed as accidental.
