KSR in Ridgetown is Expanding

New jobs are coming to Ridgetown. ksr

Through the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund, the province is investing $676,600 in KSR International.

The money is on top of an over $6-million investment from the company itself to expand its production capabilities and invest in new equipment.

The renovations will help to retain over 600 jobs in Ridgetown, and create an additional 40.

“Our government’s investment is helping KSR diversify into new product lines, enhance its competitiveness and create good jobs in the community,” says Jeff Leal, Minister Responsible for Small Business. “Supporting advanced, value added manufacturing is a key focus for our government.”

KSR a leading auto parts manufacturer specializing in sensor, brake and accelerator assembly technology.

“At KSR International, we know how important it is to adapt to change to compete in an increasingly tough auto sector” Ed Kanters, KSR Chief Financial Officer says. “With Ontario’s support, our company is staying ahead in this competitive sector and creating jobs.”

Along with the Ridgetown facility, the company operates another manufacturing site in Rodney and a research and development centre in Kitchener.
