The Labour Day weekend is upon us, and with it comes a number of government service closures.
All municipal offices will be shut down on Monday, there will be no public transit, and both the Chatham and Dresden Service Ontario locations will be closed.
Library branches across Chatham-Kent will be closed on Labour Day.
There will be no garbage or recycling collections on Monday, and pick-ups for the rest of the week will be delayed by a day.
Most arts and culture facilities will also be shut down, however the Milner House in Chatham will remain open from 11am to 4pm.
On the health care side of things, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will operate on its standard holiday schedule with ambulatory care, outpatient rehab services, and outpatient labs closed for the day. Some outpatient diagnostic tests will still be performed and pre-scheduled tests will continue as planned.
The Emergency Departments in Chatham and Wallaceburg remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
