Lake Levels Continue to Rise

Water levels are set to break some records in a couple of Great Lakes.

The U.S. corps of Engineers says lake levels on Lake Erie and Lake Superior will hit historic highs for the month of May.

Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair are both about 10 inches above their levels last month, and more than two feet above long term average.

A cool wet spring is expected to keep that upward trend moving into the next month before levels peak and begin to descend.

Previous all time highs were set in 1986 and 1987.
