On the 48th anniversary of the death of a Sarnia teen, OPP in Lambton County are still searching for those responsible.
14-year-old Karen Caughlin was killed on March 16, 1974, her body found on Plowing Match Road just north of Petrolia.
In 2017, police revealed the girl’s injuries were consistent with being hit by a vehicle, suggesting her body may have been moved from where she was struck to where her remains were found.
A $5000 reward remains in place for anyone who can provide information leading to the identification of a suspect.
Police are also investigating the theft of a cross and memorial to the teen, which had been placed on Plowing Match Road.
