Students and staff from a local high school will be hitting the streets just before Halloween, but it won’t be to collect candy.
Ursuline College Chatham is holding its 19th annual Lancers Scare Hunger event on Thursday, October 29.
Hundreds of UCC students and volunteers will be visiting neighbourhoods across Chatham between 5 and 8pm to collect non-perishable donations. Community members who won’t be home but want to donate are encouraged to leave donations on their porches with a label marked “UCC” or “donation.”
All food donations gathered from the event will help support Chatham Outreach for Hunger to meet increased demand during the holiday season.
