Drivers can expect additional closures and detours near downtown Chatham as part of an ongoing road reconstruction project.
The westbound lane of King Street West will be closed west of the Lacroix Street intersection beginning on Monday. The northbound left-turning lane on Lacroix Street will also be closed.
A detour will be in place during the closure, which is expected to last until November 21.
Construction on King Street West has been ongoing since August as crews conduct underground infrastructure replacement and road reconstruction on 160 meters of the street.
In the coming weeks, asphalt pavement, concrete curbs and sidewalks will be installed, along with a new all-way stop at the King Street West and Second Street intersection.
