The Walpole Island bridge is now closed to non-residents.
On Monday morning, Gen 7 Fuel announced that Monday would be the last day for non-residents to buy gas on Walpole Island.
However, non-resident traffic began reporting being turned around at the bridge shortly after the noon hour.
This is the latest measure to help stop the spread of COVID-19 onto the First Nations land. The closure to non-residents is in effect for the next two weeks but could be extended.
The gas station will also operate new hours for residents beginning Tuesday. Gen-7 will be open from 11am to 5pm.
