Today marks the final day for online input on Chatham-Kent’s woodlot conservation bylaw.
The municipality launched an online survey last month to gather input on managing woodlots through potential education programs, incentives and regulations.
All of the comments gathered over the past few weeks will be compiled and later released to both council and the public as the municipality works toward creating a permanent woodlot preservation bylaw.
A report with recommendations featuring all findings, analysis, feedback, update polices and bylaws is expected back before council within the next month or so.
The temporary bylaw and clear-cutting moratorium expire August 24th.
