Fire Fest Co –Chair Brent DeNure says due to lack of funding and support, the 7th Fire Fest will be the last. However, there still may be a way to save it if anyone wants to contribute financially.
“If anyone wants to reach out to me, I’m all ears. I think it’s a shame to have it terminate, but I do know that there are some neighbouring communities who are very interested in having us move the event, and that’s also an option, so we’ll see what the future holds,” DeNure explains.
DeNure says the final event will be taking place in downtown Chatham on the 29th.
