More money is going to help those in need in Wallaceburg.

Black Goose owner Mark Childs says donations from the 49th annual Childs Family Luncheon have now hit $16,030, making it the most successful year of the fundraiser to date.

Following the lunch on Monday, $13,810 had been collected.

Since its inception, the Childs Family fundraiser has brought in $386,427. Childs says they are hoping to hit the $400,000 mark during the event’s 50th anniversary next year.
