Two Windsor drivers will be without their vehicles for a couple of weeks after they were stopped for allegedly driving at excessive speeds in Chatham-Kent.

The Ontario Provincial Police said the first vehicle was stopped on Highway 401 in the municipality at around 3:20 a.m. on Friday. Authorities said the vehicle was clocked travelling at more than 55 km/h over the posted speed limit.

A second vehicle was stopped on the highway at around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday after it was spotted driving more than 55 km/h over the speed limit.

As a result, two drivers in their 20s have been charged with stunt driving. Both have been issued a 30-day licence suspension and their vehicles will be impounded for 14 days.
