It’s a festive tradition 34 years in the making – tonight, the first of two Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Christmas Wish Trees will be lit.
Lighting ceremonies are being held at the Wallaceburg site on Margaret Avenue tonight, and tomorrow in the riverside courtyard at the Chatham hospital, both getting underway at 6 o’clock.
Last year, the campaign brought in over $128,000 to support the purchase of new warming cabinets for CKHA’s sites in Chatham and Wallaceburg.
Proceeds from this year’s Wish Tree fundraiser will support the hospital’s most pressing needs, which can range from funding for new capital equipment, furnishings and technologies, to the updating of programs, facilities and services at CKHA’s Chatham and Wallaceburg sites.
