Chatham-Kent council narrowly approved an amended bylaw to reduce the number of licensed strip clubs in Chatham-Kent from three to one during their November 18 meeting.
Some councillors had concerns that with only having one licensed adult entertainment parlour, it would make the remaining license more valuable, as well as the possibility of unregulated adult entertainment businesses popping up due to the lack of available licenses.
The vote passed 9-8.
