Lions Club Getting To Work

lions-clubWith a new Lions club starting up in Wallaceburg, members are already getting down to business at helping the community.

President of the Wallaceburg Centennial Lions Club, Lorne Brock, says they’ve already lent their support to number of projects, including the new splash pad.

“Recently we worked with our sponsor club in Petrolia and raised over $2,800 to support that project,” says Brock. “A vision care centre is another project we’re looking at which may be good for Chatham-Kent and founded in Wallaceburg.”

For anyone who would like to join the Lions Club or volunteer at one of their events, contact Chuck Ferris, the club’s Membership Chair, at 226-627-4400 or email chuckferris@gmail.com, or visit www.lionsclubs.org.
