Boat ramps, launches and private marinas remain open across Chatham-Kent for the time being.
During a media conference, Mayor Darrin Canniff and Dr. David Colby both acknowledged that no formal closure order has been given on the local or provincial end for Chatham-Kent.
Many neighbouring communities and municipalities have mandated closures on their marinas, launches and ramps over the past week and change.
At this time, Chatham-Kent’s waterways appear to be open for boaters, as long as they ensure to practice proper social and physical distancing.
