Rood has been appointed deputy whip and co-chair of question period planning.

“As a Member of Parliament, I have been privileged to serve my constituents and Canadians in different portfolios,” Rood says in a statement released on social media. “I am excited to take on these new roles and to continue working alongside my caucus colleagues for Canadians from coast-to-coast.”
