Local Musicians Hit A High Note

Congratulations to a trio of talented local musicians who have reached the finals of the International Songwriting Competition.

The idea behind it is to give aspiring artists a forum to have their work heard by a large audience.

The song “Shame On Me” written by Bothwell’s Jay Allen and the Windsor duo Buck 20 ( Mike Ure and Aiden Johnson-Bujold) is one of 16 songs to advance to the final in the country category.

With over 18,000 songs entered that means only 2 per cent advance this far.

Allen said ” ya, it’s super exciting, when we made the semi-finals there were 100 songs left and just to be listed with artists such as Keith Urban I was like OK, we did it.”

They would love some local support.
