Organizers of a spring charity festival have finalized donations to three community organizations in Chatham-Kent.
Thanks to proceeds raised during the Festival of Giving on June 3, the organizing committee donated a total of $47,500 this week.
The lion’s share, $35,000, was earmarked for the Chatham-Kent Youth Wellness Hub Ontario (formerly known as ACCESS Open Minds).
Another $10,000 was donated to the Thamesville Sertoma Club, while the remaining $2,500 was provided to Santa for Seniors.
Following three years of pandemic-forced festivals, the 20th annual Festival of Giving returned on June 3 at Sons of Kent Brewing Company in Chatham. Attendees enjoyed food, drinks and local entertainment, along with live and silent auctions.
