
Three Chatham-Kent students and one from Strathroy have been awarded scholarships as they pursue education in environmental conservation.
The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority (SCRCA) recently awarded its 2025 scholarships to the four students who have demonstrated high academic standing and involvement in environmental initiatives.
Tanner Grubb from Lambton-Kent Composite School was awarded the Tony Stranak Conservation Scholarship. He will be attending the University of Guelph to pursue a degree in Water Resources Engineering.
Wallaceburg District Secondary School student Khloe Tinning has received the Mary Jo Arnold Conservation Scholarship and will also be attending the University of Guelph, where she will study Wildlife Biology and Conservation.
Cameron Vieira from Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School and Lilliana Ovecka-Doskas from Lambton-Kent Composite School have both been awarded the 2025 A.W. Campbell Memorial Scholarship. Vieira will be studying Conservation Biology at Trent University this fall, while Ovecka-Doskas will be attending Northern College — Haileybury Campus for the Veterinary Technology/Wildlife Rehabilitation program.
The scholarships are made possible through trust funds established by the St. Clair Region Conservation Foundation and its donors.
In total, $3,000 has been awarded across the St. Clair Region this year.
