In municipal circles, a move by the province to take over the operation and costs of Toronto’s Don Valley Parkway (DVP) and the Gardiner Expressway created a lot of buzz and is seen as saving Toronto billions of dollars.
In a “hey, what about us” motion, Chatham-Kent councillor Brock McGregor wants the municipality to take a look and identify Chatham-Kent roadways previously funded by the province and draft a letter requesting similar treatment, including an uploading of said identified roadways to the province.
McGregor’s motion will be debated at tonight’s Chatham-Kent council meeting.
